Fulltime Faculty in Animation
Essential Functions
The School of Media Arts & Studies in Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication invites applications for a fulltime faculty position to teach the animation curriculum in the Digital Media: Special Effects, Games and Animation undergraduate sequence. A one-year position begins in the fall of 2009. A Group I tenure track position will commence in 2010-11. We are searching for a colleague to fill a one-year contract bridging the interim until the tenure-track position is posted at the end of 2009-10. Other Responsibilities
Terminal degree, preferably an MFA in the field of digital media. Experience in teaching related courses at an accredited college or university is preferred. Expected to maintain a professional reputation outside the College as an animator.
Desired Skills
Instruction ad creative work in 2D animation, After Effects, Flash, 3D Modeling and Animation using Maya and advanced 3D.
