Senior UI / Flash Artist

Essential Functions

Smart Bomb Interactive is looking for a Senior Level UI / Flash Artist with the passion and ability to excel in interactive awesomeness. Someone who understands fundamental graphic design and illustration principles, intuitively knows user flow, and can create exhilarating interfaces that engage the player and guide them through the gaming experience. Preference will be given to portfolios that demonstrate quality, creativity and professional experience.

Responsibilities:

• Own / drive all aspects of a game’s user interface experience.

• Create mock-ups / screen prototypes for menus, GUI and game flow.

• Design, implement, and maintain UI systems throughout the life of a project.

• Work with Game Programmers to optimize assets for memory and speed considerations.

• Collaborate with art, audio, and engineering departments in order to deliver high quality game experiences.

• Kick pixel arse all day long.

• Must have an online portfolio.

• Strong Flash / Action script Background.

• Candidate’s talent, industry track record, and submission(s) should speak for themselves.

• Exhibit creativity, enthusiasm, positive attitude, and achievement.

• Team player with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Solid Drawing / Illustration skills.

• Stellar Photoshop and Illustrator skills.

• Excellent Typography and Iconography skills.

• Excellent problem solving skills.

Desired Skills

The more of the follow qualifications you have, the better:

• A love for gaming and interactive media, particularly for kids.

• Three or more years of experience producing interactive media.

• Website development experience.

• Motion Graphics / After Effects skills.

• 3D Art Tools experience(Maya, Max, etc.)
