LEAD LEVEL DESIGNER

Essential Functions

As the lead of the Rockstar New England scripting team you'll be managing and leading a group of talented individuals who are responsible for creating all game content including missions and gameplay scenarios. You’ll be a working lead and will have both management and oversight responsibilities and will also be responsible for also creating content for our games.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the scripting team under the direction of the Design Director of the project.
• Work closely with the individual scripters to ensure their scripts are implemented efficiently and following established standards.
• Help to improve the overall scripting abilities of all members of the scripting team.
• The role involves script-based programming, game design and liaising with artists and programmers.

Other Responsibilities

• Previous lead experience on at least one shipped title.
• Credit as a game scripter on at least one shipped title.
• Technical aptitude and understanding of tools, techniques, and pipelines.
• Computer Science degree is considered a definite advantage.

Desired Skills

• Effective leadership and management skills.
• Programming or Scripting experience (C++, Lua, other proprietary scripting languages, or similar).
• Ability to work well with other team members in other disciplines.
• A good sense of fun!
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Software Package (Word, Excel, Outlook).
