JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interested in signing game development deals for a new strategic initiative? Then, come join the Microsoft Game Studios (MGS) Business Development Team. Our mission is to source independent game developers capable of creating the next blockbuster 1st party franchises for our Windows, Mobile and Xbox LIVE platforms. Your goal will be to find developers and game concepts that fit into our portfolio strategy. You will join a team of diverse, dedicated and fun business development experts to significantly contribute to the future of MGS portfolio and success.
You will be responsible for driving the complete negotiation and evaluation process: including, filtering game concept submissions, organizing pitch meetings, coordinating due diligence trips, driving internal approval meetings with senior management, as well as, successfully negotiating multimillion dollar deals with complex term structure, and fully driving contract execution. You will be working with the Publishing Production Leads to drive the evaluation process, Finance and Marketing to create the P&Ls, and Legal to negotiate the contracts.
REQUIREMENTS:
We are looking for an individual that is passionate and knowledgeable about games, has VERY strong negotiation background and business acumen along with strong communication, inter-personal skills and is extremely driven to results. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of deal negotiation and business development experience in either the entertainment, online, or mobile industry, as well as, an MBA. Previous management experience would also be a serious plus.
