Do you want to be a part of the team that builds the world’s greatest games? Are you passionate about technology, games, entertainment and software development? Microsoft Game Studios is looking for Software Development Engineers in Test who want to make a big impact on the next generation of great games.

As an SDET you’ll have access to developers, source code, and a myriad of tools which will enable you to directly impact the quality, reliability and fun of the titles we ship. Specific responsibilities include: owning test areas, analyzing game systems, and creating and executing on test specifications, test cases and test automation suites.

Part of the fun is how creative you can be devising ways to manipulate, crush, and sabotage software into submission. You’ll find, log, and track issues (bugs) until they are resolved. Additionally, you’ll work as a liaison between Microsoft and our external development partners to ensure efficient and effective testing efforts.
REQUIREMENTS:
You must have a BS in Computer Science, 3 years of SDET and/or Games testing experience, a firm understanding of testing methodologies, an aptitude for growth, an ability to innovate, ability to work independently as well as a part of large and small teams, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and exhibit a strong passion and pride in your work. Excellent candidates will have the ability to write automation scripts and tools, familiarity with game engines and technologies, SQL server, .Net languages, C#, C++, networking, security, DirectX and other Windows technologies.
