JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a highly capable and experienced individual who has the skill to direct talent as well as game capture artists and edit video game trailers in a high pressure environment. Experience editing high profile trailers, short form TV and internet assets preferred. Storytelling is a very important aspect of our games so the applicant must be able to communicate the emotional content and vibe of a game within a 60-120 second format.

The applicant will be primarily responsible for initiating concepts, directing game capture artists and editing trailers as well as working on TV commercials and other marketing and production based materials. This is a position best suited to an experienced self motivated director/editor as opposed to someone looking for a switch from assisting to full time editing. People skills and creative ability are of equal importance. Fluency in avid software is a must, as is a high level of technical proficiency in standard def and high def video. The ability to work well with a team, take direction, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure is crucial; as is the ability to work independently, self direct and take ownership of a project where necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
Responsibilities:

- Directing game capture artists to provide footage for trailers and commercials
- Developing concepts for trailers and commercials based on our games.
- The editing of high end marketing materials in both a supervised and unsupervised capacity.
- Working within a team to develop the best assets possible.
- Taking responsibility for projects and self producing/directing when necessary, or working closely with a director to realize a specific vision.
- Directing voiceover talent

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of directing and editing experience in short form work with a clear emphasis on trailers and commercials.

DESIRED SKILLS AND PLUSES:
Skills:

- Full knowledge of the avid media composer interface.
- Thorough understanding of the technical elements of video in both standard and high definition.
- A reel that demonstrates an ability to make materials of varying styles.

Note: Providing a reel is a MUST. Candidates who cannot show examples of their work need not apply.
