JOB PURPOSE
Foundation 9 is looking for an experienced, talented and imaginative designer to design and tune game systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for defining and documenting game mechanics, including advancement, skills, combat, customization options, enemy behavior, etc
• Create and maintain lists of data for game systems, including items, enemies, abilities, skill level tables, and more
• Responsible for communicating and working with AI group, utilizing design background
• Be ultimately responsible for the fun-factor of the game systems themselves, ensuring that the mechanics meet the high quality standards expected of a Next-Gen game
- Requirements:
- QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years game development experience
• Strong skills in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and the ability to learn additional programs as needed.
• Must have shipped at least one game as a systems designer
• Demonstrated ability to work with engineers and designers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with gun parameters, weapon systems a plus
• Some engineering or technical experience, preferred
