JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gearbox is looking for a sound designer to join our growing audio department. The sound designer will help conduct field recording, provide original sound design for multiple projects and attend design meetings representing audio. The audio team works on every project Gearbox produces so this position provides an opportunity to work on a wide range of games.

REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements:

* Excellent sound design skills
* Minimum 3 years experience as an audio professional in post production/game audio
* Experience implementing audio in a game engine
* Experience working collaboratively with a team of audio designers, artists, and programmers
* High degree of proficiency with PC audio software
* Knowledge of basic game design concepts
* Passionate about advancing game audio production in videogames
* Live near or be willing to relocate to Dallas, Texas

The ideal candidate may also be able to demonstrate;

* 3+ years professional experience providing game audio
* Direct experience designing game audio systems
* Familiarity with implementing audio in UE3
* Direct experience working on a AAA FPS title
* Experience directing voice over actors
* Familiarity with Wwise
* Previous experience coordinating with external contractors
* Excellent music production skills
* Knowledge of field recording, foley performance and microphone placement techniques.
* Experience with version control software such as Perforce or Alienbrain
