- Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a Renderman programmer to handle the technical needs of the cinematics department. This would include writing custom tools and shaders for use by the department as the need arises, and helping to identify areas that can be streamlined. The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated artist who knows Maya and Renderman extensively and has experience writing custom tools to solve technical problems.

- Requirements:
- • 3+ years Renderman development experience
• Experience with C/C++, C#, MEL, TCL, Python, and other programming languages
• Extensive experience with shader programming for Renderman (SL, C DSO, Slim templates)
• Strong technical knowledge of Maya
• Experience in a fast-paced feature production environment
• Excellent technical problem-solving skills
- Desired Skills and Pluses:
- • A passion for games and film
• Knowledge of other high-end software: 3ds Max, XSI, etc.
• Strong understanding of computer graphics concepts (animation, rendering, physical simulation)
