JOB OPENING: Character TD
LOCATION: Venice, California
Position Summary:
Digital Domain is expanding our team to work on several major motion pictures. We are seeking Character TDs. Character TDs will work in-house at our studio, located in Venice, California.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develop a general character framework for upcoming projects in Maya, specifically including facial rigging.
· Organize/Manage/Maintain digital content assets
· Contribute MEL scripts and tools to streamline production and assist animators.
· Contribute to specifications for up coming character releases
- Requirements:
- Experience and Skills Required:
· 2+ years experience rigging characters in a Maya production environment, facial rigging is a huge plus
· MEL scripting
· Strong understanding of anatomy including facial expressions
· Ability to learn quickly and comprehend custom in-house production tools.
· Basic modeling skills including a good understanding of polygonal mesh flow is a plus
