EZD Productions is looking for a full time Art Director for the next-gen virtual world we are creating.

You'll be responsible for ensuring the quality and polish of all visual elements in the game, and will need to be expert at realizing concept designs within a real-time 3D engine.

This will be a very hands-on position. We want someone who knows how to give feedback on every facet of production while maintaining the visual direction of the game. You will need to work closely with the Lead Designer, Project Manager, Tech Director and Marketing Director. You will report to the Creative Director.

You will be working in our new San Francisco Bay Area office, which will be located in either SF, Emeryville, or Walnut Creek.

Requirements:
o Five years or more experience developing art & animation for games with sizable, shipped titles to your credit.
o Two or more years experience as an Art Lead or Art Director. You should be comfortable both taking initiative and interacting with a tightly knit team.
o Experience with outsourcing art production overseas.
o Should be an expert 2D artist, and have significant experience in all or most of the other elements of game art production (low and high poly modeling, UV mapping, texturing, animation, rigging, UI design).
o Professional knowledge and experience with the Crytek 2 engine, next-gen rendering technology and shaders are a huge plus.
