JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SENIOR ISP ARCHITECT

This is an opportunity to help in expanding the NVIDIA ISP solution to a new level of functionality and features. The architect works closely with NVIDIA's 3D graphics and other video architects to help create products where the ISP and graphics features work together synergistically.

A successful candidate for this position will have 5+ years of digital imaging expertise in the areas of CCD image capture and processing or computational photography. The candidate should have several ISP designs to her/his credit and have deep algorithmic expertise. Ideally she/he would have technical leadership skills and would help shape our ISP designs and strategies. Strong engineering, methodological, and mathematical skills are required. An ability to design new ISP architectures and implement c-models of the design is also required for this position

The senior architect will also be expected to analyze the performance of proposed and current NVIDIA products, and develop algorithms and architectures to support NVIDIA's product plans. The focus of these developments will include Bayer demosaicing, bad pixel correction, fix pattern noise reduction, lense compensation, color correction, auto-white balancing, edge enhancement, auto exposure, auto-focus, etc. In pursuit of this development, the architect will be expected to document the mathematical equations involved in the algorithms and design of the ISP HW architecture. The candidate will be expected to be hands-on in the specification, design, and development of ISP solutions.
REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- The ideal candidate will possess an advanced degree in Computer Science, Digital Signal Processing or Mathematics or related discipline
- Approximately 5+ years of relevant industry experience. Relevant industries include digital camera, sensor, consumer electronics, computational imaging or digital image processing.
- The candidate should be familiar with current literature and a wide range of CMOS digital imaging and image processing techniques related to digital cameras as well as color standards and measurements.
- Strong C, C++, Python and MATLAB programming skills
- A Solid working understanding of modern CMOS and CCD sensors and camera optics.
- Must be hands-on and work well within a team of hardware and software engineers.
